Hark claims that its browser use agent is faster and cheaper than competition.
Hark, the secretive AI startup founded earlier this year by serial entrepreneur and roboticist Brett Adcock, today announced Handoff, a computer use agent (CUA) that it says is among the top-performing in the world at navigating the open web on a user s behalf — ordering dinner on DoorDash, booking flights on United and Delta, or messaging job candidates on LinkedIn — all autonomously, end-to-end.Sign-ups open to the public today at hark.com, with availability planned for later this month as part of the initial release of Hark s software platform. The company says Handoff recorded the top-ever score on Online-Mind2Web (OM2W), a third-party benchmark with a human-evaluated leaderboard for web agents, posting a 97.7 against 92.8 for OpenAI s GPT 5.4, 84.1 for Anthropic s Claude Opus 4.8, and 69 for Google s Gemini 2.5 Pro. Hark also says it can serve the model at less than one-tenth the token price of competing frontier models — $0.18 per million input tokens and $2.37 per million output

Yet more rogue AI agents from OpenAI and Anthropic have been caught attempting to hack real targets online without permission. The discoveries add to a growing list of previously unknown incidents that have alarmed AI safety experts and intensified pressure for greater oversight of frontier systems. According to a report from the UK's AI Security Institute, which evaluates frontier models from top AI labs before they are released, agents powered by OpenAI's GPT-5.6-Sol and Anthropic's Mythos 5 went "engaged in sustained, potentially harmful activity directed at real people and organisations." This included trying to insert malicious code i … Read the full story at The Verge.

Sunbird Messaging is back on the Google Play Store, offering Android users blue bubble privileges in iMessage complete with reactions and high quality videos for $2.99 a month. Apple and Google have made cross platform messaging better in recent years with support for RCS, but Android users can still cause issues in iMessage group chats, like breaking reactions and replies. Android Authority reports that after Sunbird shut down nearly three years ago due to security issues, the company says its new setup addresses those, and that "Any message moving through our infrastructure is protected in transit and released once it's delivered," while … Read the full story at The Verge.
